AMac Window Cleaning Terms and Conditions
By booking or using our services you accept our terms and conditions of trading. We have set up these terms and conditions so we can provide our customers with the best possible service and to inform customers how we operate.
So hopefully this will answer any questions you may have, but if not, please do not hesitate to contact us to discuss further.
How often we visit and next clean date
We work to a monthly or 6 weekly schedule (alternative schedules are available for commercial customers) all year round and a next clean date will be provided on the day of your clean.
We do ask for some flexibility from time to time on timescales either side of the scheduled clean date due to extreme weather, operator holidays or matters out of our control.
At AMac Window Cleaning we will clean your windows in most weather conditions to enable us to provide a regular and reliable service to our customers. We use the Reach and Wash pure water system which works extremely well in all weather conditions, therefore, the quality of your window clean will not be affected by rain or poor weather conditions so the results will always be the same.
If the weather conditions are extreme and we feel there will be a health and safety risk or a negative result to your clean we will aim to come on the next available time slot.
Access to your property/premise
Should we be unable to access any part of your property/premises due to locked gates etc. we will only clean the accessible areas. This will be charged at your normal clean price.
We may be unable to return to clean the restricted area until the next scheduled clean date. To avoid this, please ensure safe access is available on the clean date.
Turning our operator away on day of clean
We work hard to be as reliable as possible for our customers so we appreciate the customer being reliable too.
We reserve the right to charge you the full price if you turn our operators away or cancel with the office on the day of the clean as it is too late for us to replace your clean with another. 1 week before your scheduled clean is required to cancel or reschedule.
Guaranteed Service and complaints
We aim to provide our customers with the best possible service and all our work is 100% guaranteed. If for any reason you are not happy with the quality of your clean please contact us within 24 hours and we will return to re-clean the affected area without charge.
Please note that complaints received after 24 hours may not be re-cleaned. If we feel that the windows have been affected after we cleaned a charge maybe incurred.
Health and Safety
Health and Safety is of paramount importance to us, therefore, if we deem any conditions to be unfit or hazardous we will not continue until working conditions are improved and a charge may be incurred.
If we need to enter your neighbour’s property/premises to clean your windows please confirm in writing that you have their permission. Method Statements and Risk Assessments are available.
Ending our service
If you decide to cancel our services please can you notify us by telephone on 01249 712430 or by email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
We require a minimum of 1 weeks notice before a scheduled clean date otherwise we reserve the right to charge the full price of the clean. A cancellation charge of £30.00 will be payable if you cancel our service before a third clean has taken place (this does not include agreed one-off cleans).
All our customer information is kept on a confidential database and is not discussed or shared with any individual or company.
All our operators are MOD security cleared.
We are fully insured with Employers Liability up to the value of £10 million and Public Liability up to the value of £5 million which is covered by a specialist insurance company for commercial and residential window cleaning companies.
AMac Window Cleaning will not be held responsible for any damage done to your property/premises prior to our cleaning. We will inform you where possible of such damage prior to commencing. We do not accept liability for damage caused by defects on property/premises.
Reach and Wash Cleaning System
We use the market leading Reach and Wash system provided by Ionic Systems. This method of cleaning uses only purified water with no chemicals or detergents making it 100% safe for us, children, pets, plants and the environment.
Our water is purified at our base in Wiltshire and transported to you in our purposely equipped vehicles. We arrive with all the equipment we need to carry out a professional service. Purified water is pumped from the vehicle along hose lines and up telescopic poles with brushes on the end which are professionally designed for cleaning sills and frames at the same time as the glass. We scrub frames, sills and glass then we rinse the windows with the purified water.
Once fully cleaned the surfaces are left to dry naturally as the water is so pure it dries leaving no marks or residue, which means the windows will stay cleaner for longer. Operators work from the safety of the ground up to the height of 72ft, easily reaching over conservatories, lawns and flowerbeds. Using this system eliminates the need for ladders reducing risk, disturbance and maintaining privacy.
Interior Window Cleaning
We use the professional high reach Vikan Interior window cleaning equipment. The professional microfiber pads and cloths are used with our purified water. We use extension poles to reach high windows in staircases and any other high areas without the need for ladders and from the safety of the ground. The windows are sprayed lightly with our purified water and polished off with the microfiber pads and cloths. With this method there is no water dripping on the ground, furniture or equipment as with the traditional squeegee method.
If we do clean your windows inside we require you to clear windowsills and obstructive furniture to enable us to work efficiently and safely.
Traditional method, squeegees and ladder
Very occasionally, it may be appropriate to use traditional methods. Sometimes, we need to access low-level flat roofs in order to carry out work.
We will use a ladder to gain this access on agreement.
Gutter Clearing with the SkyVac industrial vacuum
We use the SkyVac Commercial Grade wet and dry vacuum so we can clear out your gutters from the safety of the ground, even reaching over awkward obstacles including conservatories and difficult angles which ladders cannot reach.
All the waste is sucked out of the gutters, using the high powered professional system, and into the machine and once finished we take all of the waste away with us leaving your property/premises clean and tidy.
